Flowers + Plants 101

Sharing and Maintaining the Beauty of the Rainforest

Wednesday, July 18, 2018

Each month, we travel to our farm partners and use our discovery process to pick the freshest, most unique flower varieties to send to BloomsyBox subscribers. This month, we ventured to Ecuador to explore the beauty of tropical flowers up close and personal. After conducting vase life tests, sending our flower family this stunning bouquet was a no-brainer!

Vibrant red tropical flowers and lush green foliage against a clear blue sky, showcasing the beauty of exotic flora and natural color contrast.

Even more beautiful than the flowers within this BloomsyBox, however, is the mission behind the farm on which they are grown.

Since 1990, this particular farm’s founders have been rescuing plant material from injured rainforest areas of the Amazon and reproducing them on their eco-friendly farm on the coast of Ecuador. This cultivation gives the farm a unique opportunity to share the enchanting beauty of the jungle, while simultaneously protecting tropical flowers from deforestation.

As always, each bloom is harvested by hand on the farm, bringing the quality care and attention our BloomsyBox subscribers deserve!

By rescuing tropical flowers and cultivating these native species, this month’s BloomsyBox is helping to protect the flora of the rainforest for future generations. Be sure to share your love for these tropical blooms with us @BloomsyBox using #BloomingHappy!
